Motorola, a Lenovo-owned smartphone brand, has increased its mid-range smartphone offerings in India. Motorola Edge 20 with Snapdragon 778G processor is available for Rs 29,999.

Motorola has also announced the Motorola Edge 20 Fusion, a slightly toned-down version of the Motorola Edge 20 that is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 800U. It has a 108MP primary rear camera and a screen with a refresh rate of 90Hz.

Both are 5G smartphones with guaranteed Android 12 and 13 upgrades as well as two years of security updates. Through the ThinkShield for Mobile solution, both devices have business-grade security.

Cost and Availability

There are two versions of the Motorola Edge 20 Fusion. The base model costs Rs 21,499 and comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Another variant, priced at Rs 22,999, comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

The Motorola Edge 20 is available in a single 8GB RAM+128GB ROM configuration. It is available for Rs 29,999. The smartphone comes in two colors: Frosted Emerald and Frosted Pearl.

The handsets will compete with the OnePlus Nord 2, OnePlus Nord CE, and Samsung Galaxy A series phones such as the Samsung Galaxy A22 5G at this price point.

Flipkart, as well as offline retail stores, will sell the Motorola Edge 20 and Edge 20 Fusion. On August 27 at 12 p.m., the smartphones will be available for purchase in the country.

Motorola Edge 20 specifications

A 6.7-inch full HD+ 10 bit HDR 10+ AMOLED screen is featured on the phone. 

The display has a 144Hz refresh rate, a resolution of 2460×1080 pixels, and a ratio of 20:9. It has an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor and a custom UI based on Android 11 that is said to be close to stock.

The handset has a triple rear camera setup with a resolution of 108 MP. 

It has an 8MP sensor with 3x telephoto capabilities and an f/2.4 aperture, as well as a 16MP ultra-wide angle sensor with a 119-degree field of view and an f/2.2 aperture. 

The Motorola Edge 20 has a 32MP front-facing camera with an aperture of f/2.25 for taking selfies.

A 4000mAh battery and a 30W USB Type-C Turbocharger are included in the device. The phone has connectivity features such as Wi-Fi version 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax (Wi-Fi 6E), Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and 5G.

Motorola Edge 20 Fusion specifications

A 6.67-inch full HD+ AMOLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, 20:9 aspect ratio, DCI-P3 colour space, and HDR10 support is featured on the Motorola Edge 20 Fusion. 

It is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 800U processor and runs on Android 11.

A 32MP selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture is included in the smartphone. 

A 108MP main camera (f/1.9 aperture) is paired with an 8MP ultra-wide sensor (f/2.2 aperture) and a 2MP depth sensor (f/2.4 aperture) on the device’s back.

It has a 5000mAh battery and TurboPower 30 fast charging technology.
