Apple has announced four new iPhone 15 ‘s. We here discuss the price, tech specs, design changes, and more, especially USB-C
The most anticipated smartphones of the year have finally been released by Apple, which announced the iPhone 15, along with the iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max, at its September event.
There were claims that Apple would introduce a new “Ultra” designation at the top end.
Apple adopted the same strategy as last year and chose:
- iPhone 15
- iPhone 15 Plus
- iPhone 15 Pro
- iPhone 15 Pro Max
iPhone 15 – Design
All four iPhone 15 handsets have received design changes from the previous generation, but none are especially radical. For example, they now have a slight curve on the back edges that should make them slightly more comfortable to hold.
The iPhone 15 and 15 Plus gain “an industry-first color-infused back glass with a stunning, textured matte finish,” and now have the Dynamic Island, which was previously a Pro exclusive.
Here’s what the iPhone 15 looks like:
The iPhone 15 is available in the colors black, blue, green, yellow, and pink, as you can see.
As usual, the Pro models have a number of additional physical improvements.
The mute switch has most visibly been replaced by a clickable action button that, by default, silences your phone but can be customized to perform a variety of tasks like launching the Camera app, starting Voice Memos, or turning on Accessibility features.
When you hit the Action button, you’ll get haptic feedback, and the Dynamic Island will provide you with additional visual indications.
Fundamentally, the 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max are the first iPhone models to be composed of titanium. When compared to stainless steel, this should offer a better strength-to-weight ratio, and sure enough, the weights are lower on both Pro models. (The 15 Pro Max, for instance, weighs 221 grams as opposed to the 240 grams of the 14 Pro Max. That is a decrease of just about 8%. The weight of the 15 Pro has decreased by 9%.)
And now for the iPhone 15 Pro’s color choices. They are called Black Titanium, White Titanium, Blue Titanium, and Natural Titanium on Apple’s website. Why no fascinating colors for the Pro models?
The United States versions all enable dual eSIM and lack a physical SIM slot, just like the iPhone 14 range from 2022. Customers in the United Kingdom do receive physical nano-SIM slots; however, if a SIM card is already inserted, only one eSIM can be used.
iPhone 15 – New Features
USB -C the biggest step towards universality.
The new phones can perform a few tasks that their forerunners were unable to. For example, adding USB-C makes it slightly simpler to utilize a single charger for several Apple products. The Dynamic Island’s features have been increased, and it is now available on all four models (instead of just the Pro handsets last year). The reverse charging feature, though, is arguably the most intriguing change. With it, you can now use your phone to charge an Apple Watch or a pair of 2nd-generation AirPods Pro.
The five finest new iPhone 15 features offer information on the improvements made to the less expensive models.
The Pro models include a ton of design improvements in addition to the brand-new, lightning-fast A17 Pro chip. They also have some really unique photography features. Our favorites are included in the article Best Features of the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max.
The environmental arguments made by Apple are also important to note. The four iPhone 15 devices all make use of more recycled materials than earlier models. While the Pro models feature “100% recycled aluminum substructure and 100% recycled cobalt in the battery-both firsts for Apple,” the standard models boast “100% recycled cobalt in the battery and 100 percent recycled copper in the main logic board, copper wire in the Taptic Engine, and copper foil in the inductive charger in MagSafe,” along with impressive claims related to aluminum, gold, and rare earth materials.
Also, they made a lot of claims about energy efficiency, the decrease or elimination of plastic and dangerous chemicals, and their promise to “never again utilize leather in any new Apple goods.” On Apple’s environment page, you may read in detail about this.
These FineWoven accessories are constructed from a micro-twill that emits a great deal less pollution than leather.
iPhone 15 – Tech Specs
These are the new iPhones’ main technical specifications. Particularly noteworthy is the fact that the A16 Bionic from the 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max is used in the 15 and 15 Plus, while the A17 Pro chip is used in the Pro versions. This is the first Apple chip built using a 3nm process, which results in a far better transistor density and superior power efficiency. Apple even claims it is an industry first.

For all four generations, the change from Lightning to USB-C as the charging and data-transfer connector is quite important. (Apple touted this as a positive move, which it is in many ways, but the corporation was compelled to make the adjustment due to impending regulation.) Due to their support for the USB 3 standard, Pro models will enable quicker data transfers.
Apple talks up the USB-C port it was forced to include instead of Lightning.
iPhone 15 and Series- Pricing
Here are the full prices of the new iPhones. You can check for further details and (from September 15) pre-order on Apple’s website. Note that the 15 Pro Max starts at 256GB of storage, so it isn’t quite as expensive as it seems.

These prices are sometimes more affordable than their 2022 equivalents. The cost of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus increased in 2022, and the Pro and Pro Max remained unchanged in the United States, decreased in the United Kingdom, and increased in Australia.
But as far as we have seen the trend, the cost would be much higher for the Indian launch.
