The much-awaited and affordable member of the iPhone SE series, the iPhone SE 3 is all set to be launched soon and will go official at Apple’s next launch event in March or April 2022. Due to its economic feasibility and exclusive features, it will lure enough members of the Android community this year.
A marketing analyst suggests that the whole iPhone 14 lineup will feature Apple’s ProMotion displays to deliver up to a 120Hz refresh rate, but another analyst remarks that the feature will only be available for the Pro variants of the iPhone 14 family. The ProMotion feature was previously available on the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. ProMotion controls the refresh rate of the display according to battery life and content on the screen. The complete iPhone 14 series is said to have 6 GB RAM. In his tweets, Ross Young, a display analyst, dropped hints that the Chinese manufacturer BOE is likely to provide the LTPO OLED display for lower-end iPhones.

According to the leaked CAD-based renders, the iPhone SE 3 is going to look similar to its previous versions of the family. It will be identical to the iPhone SE 2020 and the iPhone XR because of the 5.69-inch display. It has picked the iPhone XR’s rounded corners. It will have slim bezels. The design features a wide notch for the Face ID and a selfie camera sensor. On the rare side, there’s also a camera with flash.
Design of the iPhone 14 series
As per tweets by the analyst Ross Young, co-founder and CEO of DSCC, iPhone 14 Pro models will feature a punch-hole cutout for the front camera, and a pill-shaped cutout will have an infrared camera for Face ID, both next to each other. He also remarked that we may not be able to see an under-display infrared camera until 2023 or 2024.
Features expected in iPhone SE 3
As per previous leaks, the iPhone SE 3 will use the new A15 Bionic chip, which was also available in the iPhone 13 family. It will have a single 12-megapixel camera sensor on the rear and a single lens on the front. It might have an external X60M 5G baseband chip. The iPhone SE 3 will be backed by 3 GB RAM and is expected to have 128 GB of storage instead of the 64 GB that was seen in the iPhone SE.
Features expected in the iPhone 14 series
The iPhone 14 family will reportedly have 6 GB RAM. Previously, it was announced that these will feature 8 GB RAM but according to a recent supply chain check, it was figured that the new models will have 6GB RAM keeping in mind the cost considerations. A 48-megapixel main camera and 256 GB storage capacity is also expected in the upcoming series. Currently, the Pro versions of the iPhone 13 lineup feature the ProMotion display but it is anticipated in all the versions of the iPhone 14 family.
These are some features expected in the upcoming models of Apple iPhones. However, an official announcement is awaited.
