Google announces the Best Android Apps of 2021

Following its yearly trend, Google declared the winners of Google Play Best and announced the best Android apps of 2021, games of 2021 for India under categories like User’s choice, Best app, Best game, and many more. The company emphasized on the strategy like every year that a “great app or game can come from anywhere, whether you’re a large or a rising developer.”

Developed by Tech-enthusiasts and entrepreneurs from Bengaluru, Bitclass was selected as the Best App of the year in India. According to Google, the app shows the “emergence of a digital learning culture in India fuelled by innovative localized solutions.” In free as well as paid versions, this app provides a diverse range of online lectures and sessions of cooking, personal finance, dancing, singing, etc.

The Global Head of Editorial said in a blog post, “In India, once again, we saw a diverse range of apps help people across the country with relevant – and often unique – solutions to their daily needs. This year, we saw a distinctive rise in e-learning, with many winners finding creative ways to help India learn a range of skills online, be it mastering a passion through celebrity-led virtual classes with FrontRow, or using AI to scale student learning outcomes with Embibe.”

FrontRow was awarded to be one of the Best Apps for fun. Embibe is titled the Best App for Personal Growth.

Google announced Houzz, Canva, and Concepts: Sketch, Note, Draw as the Best Apps for Tablets of 2021. It also announced My Fitness Pal, Calm, and Sleep Cycle: Sleep Analysis & Smart Alarm Clock as the Best Apps for Wear. 

India’s increasing fondness for audio and video-based platforms made Clubhouse the Users’ Choice App of 2021 for India.

For the gaming fanatics, Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) from Krafton has been titled the Best Game of the year in India. Garena Free Fire Max was awarded the Users’ Choice Game of the year. People have been gaining an appreciable interest in gaming in our country.
